Kaveri (kah-ve-ri) Coffee is the Bay Area’s first woman-owned Indian Coffee Company. Tanya Rao (Owner and Roaster) grew up in Bangalore, India where her family owned a coffee roasting business. She is proud to continue the coffee legacy of her father and grandfather, and bring high-quality, truly traceable Indian coffee to the U.S.

Their coffees are carefully selected from farms across India and delicately roasted in small batches in Berkeley, California. The age-old traditions of quality, authenticity and dedication still hold strong today. Tanya’s passion is to showcase the distinctive characters and flavor profiles of Indian coffee, and share the rich cultural stories of the Indian coffee farms and community. The company vision is to promote environmental sustainability and conscious consumerism by creating products with love and intention.

Why Only Carry Women-Owned Coffee Brands?

Leadership and ownership in the coffee industry is very male dominated. We are therefore very passionate about bringing to light more of the amazing women in coffee that are often overshadowed, by providing more consumer access and awareness to women-owned coffee brands. Closing the gender equity gap in the coffee industry is a group effort, and we are excited to be a part of this movement!

How Do Our Coffee Subscriptions Work?

First you choose between a rotating subscription or one of our prepaid options.

  • For our rotating subscription choose a delivery frequency of every 1, 2, 4, or 6 weeks, your desired roast type, and your desired grind size. Every shipment, we'll select a new coffee from our roster based on your preferences and ship it right to your door. You can pause, cancel, skip, or even gift a shipment at any time.

  • For our prepaid subscriptions, your coffee will be sent every month for the specified time you choose (3, 6, or 12 months). You choose your desired roast type and grind size, and pay one price up front. No need to worry about a recurring charge. We'll send you a new coffee from our roster every month for the duration of your subscription. These will not automatically renew.

For all subscription options, every coffee is roasted and shipped directly from the roaster, so your shipping time will depend on their roasting schedule and USPS shipping times.

I Didn't Like My First Coffee. What Now?

We know you'll love your first coffee, and we also want to make sure you have a great experience with the coffee we offer. So, if you notify us within one (1) week of receiving your coffee we will send you a new match.
